Stylists You Should Know

 

There is always a team of major beauty stylists and fashion experts behind every major superstar. A fashion stylist's role is very important especially in the world of music and red carpet looks. Many famous celebrities are known for their style and a lot of their outfits are thanks to their styling team. If you are fan of celebrities like Beyoncé and BTS then there are stylists on this list that you will love.

  • Seo Soo-kyung:

  • Korean Celebrity fashion stylist Seo Soo-kyung is known for being a leading fashion expert. Seo has been a stylist for over 15 years and has first hand experience how K-pop style has changed over the years. Seo knows how hard it is to make it in the fashion industry, especially as a celebrity stylist. She wanted to share her knowledge and experience with young stylists and began teaching styling classes at Chungkang College of Cultural Industries in February of 2016. Seo’s clients include: BTS, BlackPink, Son Ye-jin, Tiffany Young. 

  • Morgan Pinney:

    • Morgan Pinney is a fashion stylist that was born in Ohio but now resides in Los Angeles, California. Pinney attended Kent State University's fashion school where she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Fashion Merchandising. After graduating she moved to New York City and began interning for Stella Mcarthy and Footwear News. Pinney’s clients now include Becky G, Whitney Port, Victoria Monet, and JoJo.

  • Thomas Carter Phillips

    •  New York-based stylist Thomas Carter Phillips started his career in Los Angeles and has styled some of the biggest names in Hollywood from Millie Bobby Brown to Naomie Harris. Phillpis started off assisting other celebrity stylists like Petra Flannery and Cristina Elrich after starting his styling journey while studying at USC. 

  • KJ Moody

    • Kelvin (KJ) Moody is a Los Angeles-based fashion stylist. Moody discovered his love for fashion at a young age after watching his aunt, Tina Knowles, design costumes for Destiny's Child. Before he started working with celebrity stylists like Janete Chivvis and starting his own solo career he attended the Art Institute of Dallas to study Fashion Design. Moody’s clients now include: Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Ade Chuol.

  • Matthew Henson

    • Matthew Henson is a New York-based stylist and consultant. Henson worked at Complex as a fashion editor where he met ASAP Rocky. Ever Since then he has been ASAP’s stylist for 12 years and is even a part of Rocky’s creative agency. Henson has also created looks for TheWeeknd and Kid Cudi. His portfolio sets him apart from everyone else because he was one of the first stylists to create wardrobes for his clients instead of fitting them for basic outfits.

    •  If you recently saw Zendaya’s Balmain dress for the Dune primer at the Venice Film Festival then you are already familiar with Law Roach’s work. Born in Chicago, Illinoi Law Roach is one of the groundbreaking stylists in Hollywood today. Roach’s career started off as a vintage broker where he would collect and curate vintage pieces. After building his fanbase he would open up Deliciously Vintage Chicago and Deliciously Vintage Harlem. He would later on move to Los Angeles and pursue a career in styling. Roach’s clients include: Zendaya, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Kerry Washington. 

  • Choi Kyung-won

    • Choi Kyung-won is another big name Korean fashion stylist and is also the founder of fashion styling and consulting agency F9ISSUE. Choi was the former fashion stylist for BLACKPINK and is now currently styling rising boy group ENHYPHEN. Aside from being a celebrity stylist, Choi also has her own handbag brand called Avam.

  • Lee HJ

    • If you are a BTS fan then you should definitely follow their head stylist Lee HJ. Lee has been styling BTS ever since they rose to superstardom and most recently created the iconic looks for the groups “Permission To Dance” and “Butter” music videos.
