Brand Spotlight: Mirror Palais

Created by stylist Marcelo Gaia in August of 2019, Mirror Palais (Mee-rr Pal-ay) is a fashion brand that every “it girl” knows and loves. After Gaia decided to close his first brand, Rosemilk, he almost immediately launched Mirror Palais. Gaia was raised in New York City by his mother and would go on to find tons of inspiration from the pieces in her closet. He would also find inspiration from shows he would watch on HBO with his sister as a child. 

Even though Mirror Palais was founded in August 2019 a full collection for the brand wasn’t released until December of that same year. Success followed after the launch of the collection, with influencers such as Alyssa Coscarelli wearing his pieces on Instagram. Dua Lipa would go on to be the first celebrity to wear the brand and Bella Hadid would be the first model to wear the brand for a street-style moment. The brand’s success would continue to grow with celebrities like Ariana Grande and Olivia Rodrigo wearing his designs and the brand trending on TikTok and Instagram.

The brand also follows the sustainable method of made-to-order. The method creates a special connection between the piece and the customer. Every garment is designed and made in New York with the intent of giving garment workers fair wages and bringing their craftsmanship to the forefront.
