Makeup Artist play an important role in creating looks for celebrities and making sure that they look good for everything they do. Celebrity MUAs are always giving tips and tricks to their followers on Instagram and giving you the behind-the-scenes on some of their projects. There is a lot of makeup artists on Instagram but here are some of the most popular and influential makeup artist you should follow:

 
 

This celebrity makeup artist was trained in Paris and now she works as a Chanel MUA. She also has web series that explores the conceptual design behind celebrity looks that she does with hairstylist Bryce Scarlett, called Adjoining Rooms. Her clients include Zoe Kravitz and Brie Larsen, and Jung Ho-yeon.

AJ Crimson is both a self-taught makeup artist and an entrepreneur. His clients include Christina Milian, Brandy, Raven-Symone, Estelle, Regina King, Angela Bassett, Missy Elliot, and more. Crimson’s products are also used on the tv shows like American Horror Story, Empire, Scandal, Girlfriends Guide to Divorce, and The View.

Similar to many other makeup artists Sir Jhon got his start at a MAC Cosmetics makeup counter in New York City. Sir John would go on to work with industry icon Pat McGrath for fashion week in Milan. His clientele includes Naomi Campbell, Beyonce, Olivia Culpo, and Ashley Graham.

If you watched Netflix’s new movie “Don’t Look Up” and saw Ariana Grande’s makeup looks, then you have already seen some of his work. Working with celebrities like Katy Perry, Paris Hilton, and Tinashe, Anthony creates effortless bold looks. He worked at makeup counters in department stores before working at fashion week and with famous celebrities.

Known to the beauty press as the “Galimnator”, Mylah Morales is Rihanna’s go-to makeup artist and some of her other clients include Becky G, Storm Reid, and Tinashe. Her work has been featured on Covergirl, Nike, and Dior just to name a few.

Nam Vo is known on Instagram for creating makeup looks with highlighter that will have skin glowing. She calls the look the “dewy dumpling” because your skin will come out looking well moisturized and glowing.

Tasha Reiko Brown is a Los Angeles-based makeup artist and her clients include: Yara Shahidi, Letitia Wright, Common, Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Michael B. Jordan. Her work can be seen in the pages of publications such as Wonderland, GQ, The New York Times, and Glamour.

Emily Chang is the go-to beauty guru for stars like Constance Wu and Yara Shahidi. Cheng learned her makeup skills while working at a Laura Mercier counter. Her work has been featured in Vogue, Allure, and Fashionista.

With over 2.7 million followers on Instagram, Vango is the one makeup artist celebrities flock to. Vango’s clientele includes Karlie Kloss, Selena Gomez, Bella Hadid, and Sydney Sweeney. His work has been featured in ELLE, Italian Vogue, Glamour, and Instyle just to name a few.

Patrick Ta launched his namesake beauty brand Ta, in 2019 and has since then worked with celebrities like Adriana Lima and Katy Perry. Ta also has a YouTube channel where he does different makeup looks with special guests.
