Nam Vo is known as the queen of glow for creating her signature “dewy dumpling” glow. Vo dropped out of high school in the 10th grade when she got the job she always wanted at a MAC cosmetics makeup counter in the mall. Over time she became popular and Vo was able to quit her job and start freelancing. Instagram is what helped her skyrocket her career and help “dewy dumpling” become a viral sensation. She knew trying to start a career in New York would be hard but she didn’t want to give up and kept persevering until she reached her goals. Now Vo is living her dreams and her clientele includes Kylie Jenner and Chrissy Teigen and she has been featured in ELLE and British Vogue. In an interview with Fashionista Vo said that advice she would give to aspiring makeup artists is “Lower your ego, work hard, show up on time, do what you love, and that's it. If you follow that, everything will be fine — trust me, and trust yourself.”
