Artist Spotlight: Zhang Jingna

Jingna Zhang is a fine art photographer and art director working out of New York, Los Angeles, and Seattle. Jingna was born and raised in Singapore. Before working as a photographer Jingna was a world-class air rifle shooter representing Singapore at the Commonwealth Games and World Cup. She was also the only female founder of a North American esports team in StarCraft 2, a science fiction real-time strategy video game, and an agent and consultant to concept artists with clients such as LucasArts, Amazon Publishing, and Sony Music Japan. 

Jingna’s work is inspired by the Pre-Raphaelites and Japanese anime. Her work interweaves Asian aesthetics with western art styles and brings unique visions of painterly images to fashion and fine art photography. Her work has been featured in Vogue China, Vogue Portugal, Vogue Brazil, Harper’s Bazaar China, Elle Singapore, Net-A-Porter, and many other editorial magazines. She has done commercial work for Lancome, Shiseido, Pond's, Cle de Peau Beaute, Montblanc, Canon, Sony, Mercedes-Benz, Wacom, and EM Cosmetics.

Jingna also has many awards and accolades such as being named on Forbes Asia’s 30 Under 30 list for Art & Style in 2018, Photographer of the Year, ELLE Awards, Singapore in 2011, and many more.
